Strengthening Fathers & Community
Championship Fathering is about loving, coaching and modeling. Through the Fatherhood Program, we have been able to impact the lives of hundreds of children by engaging their fathers and turning their focus on their children. The 12-week course teaches key principles of fatherhood, striving to foster and build up connections between fathers and their children and families.
Successful completion may result in a reduction in fiscal child support obligations for those who qualify. The class also provides an opportunity to meet other fathers in a similar situation and work with YMCA staff to create solutions to problems affecting the relationship with your kids.
The course features rolling admission. Fathers may join at any time. Classes at the South Suburban YMCA start onTuesday, January 30 and are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 – 7 PM.
For more information, please contact Ben Bell at ben.bell@dmymca.org.
