FHLB Des Moines supports strong communities. Working together with their member financial institutions, the FHLD Des Moines offers a variety of products to support the purchase, construction, or rehabilitation of affordable housing. Affordable Housing Program products include the Competive Affordable Housing Program and Down Payment Products, including Home$tart®,Home$tart Plus, and the Native American Homeownership Initiative.

Iowa State Bank - Community Reinvestment Home Loan Program
Loans to applicants in this Program will not be limited by income caps inside Iowa State Bank's community delineated Low- to Moderate - Income (LMI) area, as identified by the U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Department of H.U.D. Applicants seeking loans outside of the identified LMI census tracts in out community delineation will be considered if their income is 80% or less of the median income.
There is no minimum loan amount for home purchase or home improvment loans. The maximum loan amount within this program is $150,000.

NFC is administering the Project Reinvest Homeownership program in Polk County. Project Reinvest: Homeownership is a Down Payment Assistance program. The program provides $10,500 in down payment assistance for eligible homebuyers who are purchasing a home within Polk County.
