The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention's (OJJDP) National Training and Technical Assistance Center (NTTAC) is pleased to announce upcoming webinars and classroom trainings. These events offer the latest information on topics of importance to the field and provide opportunities to learn how to access OJJDP's training and technical assistance (TTA) resources and services. Expanding Self-Awareness:
Historical Trauma and the Impact of Systemic Disparities

Addressing trauma and its impact requires an understanding of historical trauma and systemic disparities in our community. Join us on Thursday, May 3 for an engaging learning opportunity featuring Daniel Spikes, PhD and Motier Haskins, MSW.
Objectives for this event include:

Increase self-awareness of the impact of historical trauma and systemic disparities on clients and communities
Increase cultural humility in practice
Identify action steps for personal and organizational growth

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training

AUDIENCE  Community members: Including teachers, police, EMS workers, health care providers, faith leaders, anyone over the age of 16.

Family Team Decision-Making (FTDM) Meeting : 3 Day Facilitation Training

This training assists child welfare workers with understanding the Family Team Decision-Making (FTDM) Meeting process. This training is for only potential facilitators. With in these 3 days the attendees will be trained to evaluate and be coached in FTDM meeting facilitation which develops the family’s plan.
Please note that participants must attend all 3 days to receive a certificate of attendance.

Interventions with Reactive Attachment and Trauma Blended Learning In-person training on May 22,23,24 2018

Many children suffer from a pathology classified as Reactive Attachment Disorder. This disorder is rooted in disrupted attachment in childhood between the ages of 0 to 5. This training will provide the attendees with an understanding of the origins of the pathology, family reactions, signs, symptoms and interventions,while working with the impact of Trauma.
